Milestones
ITI has already achieved numerous milestones in areas including research and development, intellectual property, delivery systems and manufacturing:
- ITI currently has two lead products in active clinical stage development:
- hydromorphone for acute, moderate-to-severe pain (Phase II),
- midazolam for epileptic seizure (Phase I)
- Nineteen clinical trials have been performed
successfully to date. - Multiple other compounds that lend themselves well to nasal delivery are under evaluation or in preclinical development.
- Preservative-free formulations have been developed, improving patient comfort and convenience by eliminating irritating and potentially toxic preservatives.
- ITI has an ongoing working relationship with the
University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy, a top
ten U.S. pharmacy school and a pioneer in nasal
drug delivery, to conceptualize and develop nasal
drug formulations. - Multiple issued patents and pending applications.
- ITI has an established proprietary manufacturing
facility believed to be the only U.S. facility with aseptic filling, assembling and packaging capability for preservative- free nasal drug products.
