Beta-interferon is approved by FDA for use in the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS) and also is used by physicians to treat several other diseases. This drug currently is delivered by injection.

Product Benefit

ITI has identified promising opportunities to expand its nasal delivery capabilities with proteins and peptides such as beta-interferon. We believe an intranasal formulation of beta-interferon would represent a particularly attractive alternative for patients who are on chronic frequent subcutaneous or intramuscular injections.
